Modern, quirky, Urban, Hertfordshire, England-born singer-songwriter Tai, is only 20 years old but ready to take make her mark in the music industry with the release of yet another pop banger, "Yea You", her first in 2020.
A finalist in the urban category for the UMAs, a Youth Music Award at the 2016 Unsigned Music Awards and she was in the top 10 at the Young Songwriter competition in 2015 and 2016. Back in February 2017 Tai's track 'Downgrade' was aired on BBC Radio 1Xtra by DJ Ace and just under a month later in March 2017, Tai was interviewed at BBC introducing on the Edward Adoo show and her track ‘Wait’ was played.
In 2018, Tai was scouted for The Voice UK whilst studying at college. Her performance at the blind auditions grabbed the attention of both Will.i.am and Tom Jones in which they turned their chairs, she decided to pick Will and he pushed her all the way through to the Semi-Finals! Tai is currently working on several co-writes in the UK and America, the first of which is her latest single, "Yea You", produced by Grammy-nominated producer Eddie Gypsy Stokes previously of Konvict records.
"Yea You" is about a girl who is in two minds about a boy. She loves him but knows deep down that he’s bad for her. “It’s like I’ve got an alter ego, telling me it’s right that he goes, she told me I’m fly and he knows, he just wants you there so he can boast”.
