Renowned songwriter Davion Farris is ready to move from behind the scenes with his upcoming album, "I Owe You."
The new and latest effort by Farris, is set for a July 1st release. Farris, recently in London performing at venues and music events like Sonic Waves and Vibe Village, has been writing songs with Tyrese, actor- rapper- writer - producer, of Fast and Furious and Transformers fame. Farris was enlisted by Black Ty (Tyrese Gibson) to help compose the soundtrack of his upcoming film Black and Blue. The two have been hanging out in the UK on the set of Gibson’s current film, Marvel’s Morbius.
On collaborating with Gibson, Farris says, “It’s been an eye-opening experience to work side by side, day in day out with a real black mogul with billion-dollar goals and a work ethic to match.”
Farris is no stranger to such a work ethic himself. He’s written, sung and produced for such artists as; Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz, V. Bozeman, Jaheim, JRoc Tha Ghost, Bryan-Michael Cox and Chaka Khan. For production of "I Owe You," however, the singer has employed the skills of Grammy Award-winning My Guy Mars, of the music ensemble 1500 or Nothin’, known for producing a significant chunk of Nipsey Hussle’s last album, Victory Lap.
Farris coming album “I Owe You,” is set to debut on Homegrown Radio. We will keep you posted.
