New Zealand based emerging R&B singer/songwriter and producer Keith Aaron have released his latest EP, Private Pool Party.
Private Pool Party is a mixed flavor of the 90s R&B with a modern twist of the present. Keith started work on this melange EP in 2019 while exploring the genre from the late 90s - early 2000s. "This EP was created out his love, passion, and curiosity for R&B music," said the youngster. "I was so intrigued by sounds, chords, and rhythms they used, especially in the creation of D’Angelo’s “Voodoo” and how sloppy yet on time the drums were on that record. I remember going back to that album so much during the creation of this EP to see how I could achieve such a distinct sound," he added.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Aaron moved to Christchurch, New Zealand when he was 10-years-old. Listening to music big names such as Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Bruno Mars, and D’Angelo helped ignited his passion to be a musician. As of late, Keith Aaron has been creating more music while in his final year at Massey University. He has a single coming out on May 1st called “Don’t Need a Lot”, a different energy to the Private Pool Party EP, with influences from Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, and RINI.
