What's in a name? Everything when you think about Lamont Sincere. From having conversations face to face or creating feel good music in a recording studio, New York's very own Pop and R&B singer, songwriter and producer expresses to you everything rather it's sadness, happiness, love, laughter and pain he has all the answers that will get you through your days. The dynamic blend of creativity, humor, and passion makes his music echo off the walls with intensity of the new age experimental sound. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York wasn't easy but the music vibes kept him calm and collective. At the age of ten a discovery of a passion for music, singing, playing the piano and writing poems happened. He learned this all from his father and uncle, while watching them when they use to do their thing. The art of drawing and dancing played a big part in his life as well. As Sincere got older, he took singing a little bit more seriously and in Junior High School that's when he formed a singing group with two guys from his dance group who also sing. Sincere went through three different group roller coasters. The first one was Final Destiny, then came New Era and lastly, RNB. After all of these trials, he decided to become a solo artist and create music that he knew people will grow to love. Lamont's music mentor was Doug E Fresh who taught him the ups and downs about the music industry and how to represent himself as a musician. His son Slim and Trips from the group Square Off brought him to meet his father Doug E Fresh, they made music and he became family to them in Harlem. He did some openings for Fat Joe and Elephant Man.
On November 7 there was another great accomplishment that occurred. As a producer this moment gave him life again. He was honored to feature his music production on the 2014 Soul Train Music Awards during each nominations. Lamont Sincere begin to gather up some new material to finally come back out as a singer which leads to his first single release called "Above & Beyond" which was released on iTunes September 22, 2015.
