As Sevyn Streeter is gearing up to release her forthcoming album, Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz, she drops off her newest single for fans to indulge in while they wait. For her newest offering, the songstress linked up with Davido to cook up “Kissez.”
On the BONGO ByTheWay-produced track, she sings about keeping the spark alive: “Don’t know where to start. When I was fightin’ now you light my spark. Them hoes they touch you but you have my heart. We barely trust but it felt so right, I throw it back at you and grip you tight. I was the only one that knew what you like,” sings Streeter.
When she’s not shining in front of the mic with her vocals, Sevyn Streeter is busy blessing fellow artists with her sharp pen. In addition to making her mark as a solo artist, she is also a GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter, having written six songs from Chris Brown’s GRAMMY-winning album Fame as well as two songs from Alicia Keys’ GRAMMY-winning album Girl on Fire. Her songwriting credits boast plenty of well-loved hits, including Chris Brown’s “Fine China,” Tamar Braxton’s “All The Way Home,” Alicia Keys’ “New Day,” and Ariana Grande’s chart-topping hit, “The Way.”
The new upcoming Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz album will feature the previously released cuts “HMU” and “Whatchusay,” and follows her debut album Girl Disrupted from 2017. The new song Kissez will also appear on the upcoming album.
