Soukri has released her much-anticipated self- produced and written single "Hours", with influences from the modern R'n'B world.
The Stockholm based artist and female producer delivers an energetic and colorful song about fighting against the prejudices and norms of others and forbidden love.
A songwriter and music producer with roots in both Morocco and Sweden, Soukri is now taking her first step as an artist, into the music world. She was grown up in a mix of North African rhythms and Scandinavian melodies. With one foot in early old school hip hop and the other in poppy R'n'B, Soukri creates music that speaks to a wide audience with tunes we all know and love to play on repeat, as well as makes us feel free.
With a darker background and a brighter future, she wants to raise a voice for those who once suffered the silence of alienation, codependency, and the feeling of not fitting in, as well for those who have been forced to adapt to something they are not. “I've been there myself, and all I wanted to hear back then was that I wasn't alone. The goal is to hopefully be a voice of others who are still in or have been in the same situation." After finishing her studies at MusikMakarna and Sony ATV's mentoring program for female producers, she's now releasing her own music and letting the world hear her voice and hard work.
