R&B/Soul songstress Sydney Franklin has released the official music video for her latest debut single "Make It Hurt."
The video which was released on Friday, September 14th, was shot in Los Angeles earlier this summer and features LA-based clothing brand Bliss & Mischief, along with the all-female run canned rosé company, Bev.
"'Make It Hurt' is about me coming to terms with a certain relationship I was in," says Franklin. "I woke up one day and realized how poorly I was being treated, and disrespected. It's about making that person feel the pain that you felt during the worst of times due to their choice of words and actions."
Franklin’s outfit for the video shoot included a pair of Shrine corduroy pants from Bliss & Mischief’s Fall 2017 core collection, along with a one-of-a-kind Pajama Blouse.
Sydney Franklin's freshman EP Make It Hurt, focuses on her self-revelation of being honest with herself, and coming to terms with who she is as an artist and person. The former Berklee College of Music student laces the EP with powerhouse vocals reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone and Jorja Smith.
Make It Hurt is off Franklin’s debut EP of the same name, which she released back in February to critical praise.
